Blogtober Day 11
I’ve been making a special effort to try and pamper myself lately. I’m 100% one of those girls who would rather have an extra hour in bed than get up and do my makeup and hair every day. But, I’ve set myself a goal to start taking more care of myself from my heads to my toes. Which leads us nicely on to the purpose of this post…pampering your feet!
I’m really guilty of abandoning my feet when winter arrives and the flip-flops have been put away. However, this year I’m determined to keep up the regular pedicures and to pamper my feet all year round. Two products that will be helping me in my quest are the What Skin Needs Cracked Skin Cream and the Sock Shop Beautyfeet.
The Cracked Skin Cream from Australian brand, What Skin Needs is designed to help repair dry damaged feet. I’ve been using this cream for a few weeks now and I’ve been genuinely impressed. Of course, the results haven’t been overnight but as the saying goes, slow and steady wins the race. As you may have seen in my recent unboxing, one of my favourite things about this product is the fact that it doesn’t have the typical foot cream smell so can also be used across the rest of the body including elbows, knees, etc. I’ve been using this cream day and night every day and popped socks on straight after so that it could fully sink into my skin.
Alongside the cream, I’ve also been wearing my Beautyfeet socks which are designed to do exactly the same and combat against dry heels. I know I’m easily pleased but these socks are so cool because they have nourishing pads in. The pads contain moisturising ingredients including a Chinese herbal recipe, and Nano-Silver, an antibacterial particle technology. Beautyfeet advises that it usually takes 7-14days to completely revive heels and you should start to see results after one day. Although I don’t agree with this statement as even after nearly a month my heels aren’t perfect, or even close, I have definitely seen an improvement.
What are your go-to footcare tips?
